Frequently Asked Questions
ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System. It is the software most companies use to automatically scan, filter, and rank resumes before a human recruiter ever sees them. If a resume has complex layouts, graphics, or non-standard fonts, the ATS might fail to read it, resulting in an automatic rejection.
Our system uses advanced parsing to extract your LinkedIn data and rebuilds it using industry-standard, machine-readable formatting. We strip away incompatible elements and organize your experience with clean, established hierarchies, ensuring 100% compatibility with automated screening systems.
Honestly, because charging for basic resume formatting didn't feel right. I built this tool to do one thing really well: turn LinkedIn profiles into great resumes. I keep it running as a free resource for the community—no strings attached.
No. You can upload your profile, generate your new resume, and download the final PDF instantly without ever entering an email address or creating a password.
Absolutely. We practice strict data minimization. Your uploaded LinkedIn PDF and the resulting resume are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours. You also have the option to manually delete your files immediately after downloading. We never store your data or use it to train public AI models.
The resume is generated as a polished, ready-to-submit PDF based directly on your LinkedIn data. To make updates, we recommend editing your LinkedIn profile to reflect your best self, exporting the new PDF, and running it through Synapse again for an updated resume.
Security and simplicity. Asking for your LinkedIn login or connecting via API requires you to grant a lot of permissions to your account. By just using the native PDF export, you keep 100% control of your account, and I don't have to ask for any unnecessary access to your private data.
The app can only format the data you give it. If you are missing job descriptions, dates, or skills on your LinkedIn profile, they won't magically appear on the resume. For the best results, take 10 minutes to polish up your LinkedIn descriptions before uploading your file here.
Resume standards change wildly depending on where you are applying. For example, the 'US Market' strictly removes photos and personal demographics to avoid bias, while the 'UAE Region' accommodates those details since they are often expected there. 'Global Tech Giants' forces a hyper-concise, metrics-driven layout standard for FAANG-tier companies.
